Great post Jeanette! I'm here in Virginia currently researching these very people and have followed their trail of marriage, common neighbors in multiple locations from VA to NC, TN, KY, SC and an interesting place known as the Orphan Strip.
They were apparently very close as my mother was a Stewart who married a Stuart. It gets even more interesting as I track a number of Ross family members on both sides as well. Color coding helps!
I've been able to locate old church and cemetery records for a branch that emigrated from Antrim, just as you described here today. Very proud to read some of the many contributions in your post. Many thanks!
